What People's Say About Place

This was my first visit to New Mexico and I was really looking forward to Southwestern food, so I was happy that Sadie’s came highly recommended—and even happier that I went. The ground beef enchiladas were fine and came with 2 sopapillas, which were not as "sweet" as publicized, more like fried dough (Indian puri or buttura). The plate was a bit messy in presentation, with beans and papas spread over everything, and the blue corn tortilla flavor was mostly lost under the generous layers of sauce, lettuce, and cheese. I ordered my enchiladas “Christmas” style (both red and green chile), but the heat level was milder than the excellent spicy salsa that came with the complimentary chips. The house margaritas are now highly recommended—by me. Service from Santiago was warm, attentive, and added to the overall positive experience. Overall, I loved the experience and would happily return to explore more of the menu.

I had heard a lot of good things about Sadie's and so I was excited to try it...and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, they were attentive and friendly. We got to our table and were immediately greeted by a server who brought us Chips and salsa to eat while we were deciding on what to order. The salsa was fresh roasted green chili that had just the right spice level, I like it hot and this had a great kick. Our waitress suggested the Avado Burrito for my green chili craving and warned that it was pretty spicy. And asked for extra green chili and as you can see by the photo, she delivered! The manager stopped by our table to check on us and by her friendly attitude, I could tell she was doing it because she cared. I will definitely be back during my next visit to Albuquerque. I highly recommend.

Went on a Thursday evening after work (6:30pm) with my son. The parking lot was packed and so was the restaurant, but it took less than 5 minutes to serve us. Service was excellent (host, busser and server). Our drinks were never empty. Food came out super fast. Chile and salsa had the perfect amount of spice. We ordered the massive full order of nachos (half chicken and half beef) with everything and the carne adobada plate. Sopapillas were warm and tasty. We had a great evening.

Visited on a Saturday evening with a group of fifteen. It was very busy, so the wait from being seated to getting our food was 1:45hrs. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The menu offers many classic New Mexican dishes. The overall taste of the items we tried was decent, but some dishes felt a little low on salt. The unlimited chips, salsa and drink refills were nice, and the queso was the highlight of the meal. A good place to experience local flavors, especially if you visit during a less crowded time.

Sadie’s is an Albuquerque classic for a reason. The food is consistently excellent, portions are generous, and the flavors hit exactly the way New Mexican food should. The red and green chile are both top-tier, and everything comes out hot and fast. The staff is friendly, efficient, and keeps things moving even when it’s packed. Whether you’re a local or visiting from out of town, Sadie’s delivers every single time. Comfort food done right, no shortcuts.

Never had bad food or service and the portions are great. First time trying the ribs they were delicious. The waitress Sammy-124 and her team was great.

Sadie's is the place to be for fresh mex cuisine. The steady flow of customers confirmed that this is a great place for families, groups, date night, or just hanging out. Drinks were well presented, and the food was delicious. Green Chile Tenders were amazing!!

Went to eat lunch here and the food and service were good. The place was fairly busy, and our party of 6 were seated within 15 minutes. Our waitress was attentive and our orders were correct. Will go back again in the future.
